Memorial and Service of Remembrance in Portsmouth

 

ANZAC (Australian, New Zealand Army Core) Service of Remembrance

 

The ANZAC Service of Remembrance took place on Sunday 26th April 2009. The service took place at the Milton Cemetery at 11.00am. The weather was fine and the attendance was good. All went as planned.

 

65th Anniversary of D-Day

 

On Saturday the 6th of June The 65th anniversary of D-Day Parade, with the Veterans, Standards and the Rose and Thistle Pipes and Drums marched from Lumps Fort car park Southsea sea front near canoe lake to the D-Day stone at approximately 10:40 and the D-Day service of Remembrance took place at the D-Day stone near South Parade pier at 11.00am. The attendance was good and everything went as planned.

 

27th Anniversary Falklands Parade and Service

 

The Falklands Memorial Service took place at the Falklands Memorial Stone Old Portsmouth on Sunday 21st June 2009 at 10.40am. The attendance was very good and everything went smoothly.
