Girl Lays Poppy Wreath on
behalf of the Children of Portsmouth

To commemorate the 60th
Anniversary of V.E. Day in 1945. On Remembrance Sunday the
13th of November 2005 at the Portsmouth Guildhall WWI Cenotaph and WWII
Memorial. A young 6 year old girl (one year for each ten years of
anniversary) named Stephanie Murphy, was the first child to lay a poppy
wreath on behalf of the children of Portsmouth. Her guardian was
Mr. Colin Attril the poppy organiser for Portsmouth at that time.
