Girl Lays Poppy Wreath on behalf of the Children of Portsmouth

PICTURE: 'THE NEWS', PORTSMOUTH

To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of V.E. Day in 1945. On Remembrance Sunday the 13th of November 2005 at the Portsmouth Guildhall WWI Cenotaph and WWII Memorial. A young 6 year old girl (one year for each ten years of anniversary) named Stephanie Murphy, was the first child to lay a poppy wreath on behalf of the children of Portsmouth. Her guardian was Mr. Colin Attril the poppy organiser for Portsmouth at that time.
